Sonata Arctica is a new kennel, registered at FCI in 2004, the foundation to which give Azzis z Reptowskiego Lasu and Nanook Spirit Simply the Best (Sissy). My Samoyeds live in a detached house together with my family. They have at their disposal 0,5ha of grass around our house and spend most of their time in the fresh air.

Similarly to a great number of people engaged in cynology at present, I took my first steps in it with ordinary mixed-breed mongrels. I have been told that the very first dog, which I unfortunately do not remember, was the service dog of my father’s – a German shepherd. The first dog I was big enough to have some memories of was Kali – a funny little black mongrel found in my grandmother’s backyard. The next one was Nuśka – a six or eight week old puppy found in a street, probably a misalliance of a Smooth Fox-terrier. Later, there were the dogs supposed to grow up into Alaskan Malamutes, but they did not really fully succeeded in it. Finally, I grew up ready to have a well-bred dog and started my search for a suitable breed.

I spent a lot of time looking through books and surfing the Net – my husband still remembers the telephone bills of my numerous conversations with different breeders. When I finally decided which breed I wanted I started visiting dog-shows. After the long search, in the autumn of 2003 there at our home appeared Azzis – my first Samoyed. Sissy, at that time an eleven-month-old Romanian bitch, joined him after a year. She was the consequence of my fascination with English and Italian breeding lines. Next two Samoyeds joined them in 2005. They were Thorvig – the son of Azzis and Sissy, which gained my love from the very first moments of his life, and Fialka from Hungary. 2007 is arrived to me CALYPSO - little sweet girl from France. And 2008 I kept for me a puppy girl from SISSY's 3rd "french" litter - VALKIRIA ... At the moment we have 5 Samoyeds at home and 2 other, who lives with our friends..

In my kennel I pay attention especially to health of my dogs, their perfect socializing abilities with both people and other dogs, as well as their possibilities to live according to their nature. For these above reasons, my dogs are thoroughly examined as far as dysphasia and eye diseases are concerned. Moreover, my dogs are under a watchful eye of a veterinary doctor K.Tege at a veterinary center in Elbląg. Puppies of my kennel undergo a bringing up process with so called early neurological stimulation – they are stimulated with different types of stimuli, they also socialize with children and adults. And of course, as I mentioned it above, my dogs spend plenty of time in the fresh air, they have their own well set up hierarchy, but also they are aware of the fact that people are superior to them.
